Full Tilt is nearing a deal with French investment firm Groupe Bernard Tarpe which would see players from around the world receiving their funds that have been 'frozen' since the site was shut down by American authorities in April. GBT would be responsible for reimbursing non-American players and those living in America would contact the Department of Justice for their refunds.
The US Department of Justice is refusing to confirm or deny that the deal has been finalized, but it's being widely reported that the details have been worked out between Full Tilt, the US DOJ, and Groupe Bernard Tarpe.
When the new poker room, whether it remains Full Tilt or gets re-branded as something new, opens up and starts accepting players Rounder's Lounge will add a review.
