Video Poker has been around since the mid 1970s, roughly the same time the technology became widely available for personal computers. The game has become extremely popular since then, with casinos giving over lots of floor space to video poker machines. The game begins by betting a number of credits up to the maximum offered at that specific game. The computer then deals out cards and the player is given a choice of which cards to keep and which to discard.
